It's been a while since Castor had a day away from his busy life as a student, even longer since he's had a good drink too. That was all about to change tonight, after all the great mama Brigette had good news about that strange Grimm he and Vee had a fight with a few months back. That dam horse died as far as Castor knew but none of the staff at the academy or even the shady bastards at the usual places knew anything about it. It didn't seem like a normal Grimm..if such a thing exists, to begin with. Set would always give him crypt warning about the abominations of Remnant as he so often called them. More importantly, Castor had something infinitely more important on his mind, however.

And that was how close until he gets to the party and free booze...

The benevolent Mama in her infinite wisdom allowed Castor to rent out one of her smaller establishments that....best to say was off the grid from the rest of Vale and its laws, or as Castor likes to call them "enforced suggestions" This home away from the stiffies at Beacon was a lot smaller than Mama's more open establishments but the drinks should still be of the same quality. Even then Castor learned to be cautious as the many huntsman and professors have made it a habit of tailing him whenever he entered the more "adventurous" areas of Vale. At this point however he's made it a game of losing their trail, after a few quick stops, dead ends, and going through different shops that owed him a favor or two, Castor lost them easily enough.

Soon enough Castor reached his destination, "The pepper pool" it was one of the many multi-floored bars owned by Brigette where Castor could easily blend with the crowd. After all, it was a favorite place for many of the students at Beacon for its enormous swimming pool on the top floor. However, Castor's destination wasn't up but instead down, towards the kitchen Castor would make quick chit chat with the various workers there. As he waited for the guest of honor to arrive, though he doesn't quite remember if he told Vee if the guests were ok...oh well, the card he gave with stylized heart should get him entry into here easy enough.

Vee had managed to catch a ride into the city today without his mother tagging along, so it didn't take long for him to start getting into trouble. He asked around for directions, as subtly as he could of course, but eventually someone decided to take issue with that. After a brief fight that ended with three grown men unconscious on the ground and their leader slammed against the wall of a dark alley, Vee got the directions he needed to reach the illusory bar he'd been invited to by Castor. During the months following their excursion into the Forever Fall Forest, the two had become close friends causing trouble in the pursuit of money and fun. As such, Vee trusted Castor's invitation to be legit, he just wasn't expecting to have such a hard time actually getting there. When he arrived, he presented the card that was his invitation to the guards and, after a few moments, was allowed inside. He looked around for Castor, wondering if he'd arrived early.
"It's the dishonest man you can trust, because you can expect the dishonest man to be dishonest. It's the honest man whom you can never predict when he'll do something stupid."

Castor was spending the last few minutes making small talk with the various workers while they were busy going through their shifts, he knew most of the regular faces at this point and would usually spend the afternoons with some of them once their work for the day was done. Granted back the house staff was well aware of him by then, and more importantly his connection with their boss. Hence why he was usually allowed free reign to do whatever he wanted...within reason of course.

"Stop playing with the workers and piss off ain't you go somewhere to be?!? a large older man screamed at him trying to shoo away the obnoxious little snake from his employees, this person seemed to be in his fourties with a clean-shaven head and a sad excuse of a goatee on his face. It wasn't the first..or the last time he would be telling Castor to stop interrupting his employees, especially since the young man had a habit of basically killing all work efficiency with his antics.

Of course, none of it really phased Castor in the least bit, after all the head chef was always whining about his work. They get more than enough customers to make ends meet, not only that it cost Castor a pretty penny to rent out one of her own personal secret bars. Throwing a shrug at the elder's suggestion "all right, all right I'll go, gotta make sure my party has all the good stuff anyways." Castor would make his way toward the small broom closest door before stopping, normally this door would always be inaccessible. Normally being the case as Castor would simply flash his invitation towards the top of the door where a small flash of light would scan it.

After a moment of waiting Castor turned back to the head chef "when the guest of honor arrives make sure he makes his way to the bar quickly and quietly." Castor had dropped his light-hearted attitude earlier and adopted a much more stern disposition with the head chef. His words sounded less like a suggestion and more like an order, even if the man hated his guts, Castor knew he would see it through...after all, he would not want to disappoint a fellow member of their organization. Opening the door revealed that it was in fact a hidden elevator, as he stepped in Castor's quickly dropped the tense moment in his... usual impish way.

"We should have everything we need for the day, so best that we aren't bothered... but if you want your sister is more than welcome to." before he could finish the sentence a butcher's knife flew straight toward him right before the elevator's door closed.

"too easy with you chef," he said laughing to himself, knowing what button's to push, but in the end, he knew the chef would cool off soon enough Castor would reach his destination. The bottom area of the Pepper Pool served as a secret hideout/bar for many of Mama Brigette's clients and workers to relax and blow off steam from their..." jobs" both legal and illegal, it lacked the style of a legit bar but it more than made up for in substance of its lavish décor of various stylized skulls, crosses all draped in black and red coloring. The Bar itself wasn't all that big, in fact, the main area was mostly pretty cramped, but there were usually extra VIP rooms for the back for people who valued privacy to help with that. Though given that Castor has the bar all to himself that shouldn't be a problem. Plus given the numerous televisions, karaoke equipment that is only used when enough people get shitfaced, and most importantly quality booze, he knew they would have plenty of things to do while he discuss business with the bartender.

"Speaking of the bartender, wonder who got stuck with this graveyard shift." he thought, more importantly, why are they late? Castor would make himself comfy by one of the bar stools after pouring himself a pint of whatever happens to be connected to the tap at the moment.

Castor do his best to make himself at home as he looked through the numerous offerings the bar had available, “now what to start the party with first?” he wondered. As he started to mix a random combination of alcohols together randomly his train of thought was cut short by a voice behind him, one he was rather familiar with when it came to his my illicit activities. “It’s a good thing you’re not a bartender, or you might get someone killed with that.” The voice said coming a lanky and gaunt older man with dark skin and bald head. With wrinkles and cracks around his skin while wearing an old somewhat worn-out red suit there were times were the man looked more like a skeleton pretending to be human.

“Please for the love of whatever god you believe in you aren’t this parties bartender?” Castor asked already knowing the answer as the old man laughed in response. He was a close relative and higher up with the crime family Castor had been working while as a student in Beacon, the both had even worked together on a few jobs for mama Brigitte.

Castor could never stand his guts, or stench for that matter as the man had a habit of hanging around corpses as part of his usual work duties, “please tell me you at least learned how to use soap?” Castor asked hoping the man’s usual funk of rotten meat doesn’t ruin his day. The old man stopped laughing at the obvious insult “get out of my bar you little shit.”

“But it’s not your bar, at least not tonight, besides I already paid mama.” Castor replied, “more importantly my guest isn’t really aware of your family’s…business so do me and yourself a favor and play along.” He continued knowing full well the old bastard was going to charge him for it.

To his surprise though the old corpse of a man agreed…
“One hundred.”

“Really? Ok”

“Thousand.”

“…I hate you” Castor would agreed to send him the needed money later, granted there most if not most of Castor’s party funs for the next few months. But at the sound of the nearby elevator dinged he quickly turned to Vee “hey buddy took your sweet ass time didn’t ya? Don’t worry bout though the party just started, and we even got our own personal bartending skeleton with us.” Castor would quickly turn to them “you can start something with a kick to it Kriminel, and whatever my friend wants.”

Castor would be seated by on the barstool waiting for the “bartender” to serve the drinks, “what do you think of this place? Bet you didn’t expect and old gangster hideaway to be used as a VIP room did ya?” The place was indeed usual by old vale smuggler to hide away their illegal goods, but as far as anyone knows “officially” this part of the building was sealed off and no longer exists, not like knowledge about the bar’s existence would matter much the owners of this place have spent a lot of time and more money to cover their tracks well.

The bartender would turn to introduce himself to vee "the name is Baron Krimnel, i shall be your host and server for the evening. by all means make yourself at home."
