Backstory Highlights:
John Fire Heart was born in the rugged, isolated lands of Menagerie on August 19th. As a Bear Faunus, he inherited not only the strength and durability of his species but also a deep connection to the wilderness that surrounded his home. Growing up in Menagerie, John was exposed to both the beauty and harshness of nature. His family were well-respected blacksmiths in the community, and from a young age, he learned the craft, forging weapons and tools for the Faunus people. The rhythmic hammering of metal became his solace and his passion.

However, John’s early years were marked by the constant threat of Grimm attacks. His parents, strong advocates of defending their people, taught him to value protection and preparedness. As the Grimm grew more aggressive and their incursions into Menagerie increased, John found himself in many skirmishes with these monstrous creatures. He believed in defending his home with strength and strategy, but as the Grimm's attacks became more intense and relentless, John struggled with the brutality of the fight.

One fateful day, John found himself in a heated battle with a particularly vicious Grimm—a massive Beowolf that seemed almost invincible. The Grimm's ferocity and the battle's brutality pushed John to his limits, and in the chaos, the Beowolf slashed a deep wound across John’s left eye, leaving a permanent scar both physically and emotionally. The injury became a reminder of the ever-present threat of the Grimm and strengthened his resolve to protect his people.

Following his recovery, John enrolled at Beacon Academy, driven to become a Hunter. His time there was unremarkable in terms of grades—he was neither at the top nor the bottom of his class—but his natural talent for combat, combined with his craftsmanship, set him apart. John created his unique weapon: a pump shotgun that could also transform into a polearm, blending his blacksmithing skills with his fighting prowess. This weapon was a reflection of his dual nature—both brute force and precision.

During his time at Beacon, John honed his semblance, which he called "Tectonic Shift." It allowed him to manipulate the ground and create tremors, small localized earthquakes that could disrupt enemy formations or create defensive barriers. His semblance mirrored his Faunus heritage: powerful and unyielding like the earth itself. While it wasn't the flashiest semblance, it was incredibly effective in both offense and defense.

After graduating from Beacon, John returned to his roots as both a blacksmith and a Hunter. He opened a small forge where he crafted weapons for other Hunters and Faunus alike, always embedding a part of himself into each creation. Though he still carries the weight of his past battles—particularly the one that left him scarred—John has found balance between his duty as a protector and his passion as a craftsman.

Now, at 22, John Fire Heart walks the line between warrior and peacekeeper, determined to fight for a better future while never forgetting the lessons his past taught him. He may not be the strongest or the fastest, but he is steadfast, resilient, and fiercely loyal to those he protects. His crimson aura burns bright, a symbol of his enduring spirit and his refusal to be broken.

Weapon Name:
Earthshaker
Weapon Image:

Weapon Description:
This weapon design features a compact, rugged pump-action shotgun with intricate metallic detailing. The overall structure of the shotgun is robust, featuring reinforced plates and bolts that suggest durability and reliability. The barrel is short but wide, with a sleek metallic sheen that gives it a battle-worn yet functional appearance. The stock is simple but ergonomic, built for steady handling in intense combat situations, with a grip that seems suited for a firm hold in fast-paced scenarios.

At the front end, the weapon showcases a sharp, pointed tip that hints at its dual-purpose nature. This part transforms into a glaive when the weapon shifts from its shotgun form, expanding into a long, curved blade designed for close-quarters combat. The folding mechanism is subtle but efficient, seamlessly transitioning the weapon between gun and glaive forms. The glaive maintains its ability to fire, although it is better suited for wide spread shots rather than precision firing, making it most effective in close-range combat situations.

The craftsmanship of the weapon suggests it was designed with versatility in mind, blending mechanical engineering with sleek design. The pump-action shotgun form allows for quick, devastating blasts, while the glaive mode excels in slashing or thrusting attacks, enhancing the user's adaptability on the battlefield. The transformation into a glaive is not just a visual effect but also integrates a melee component with ranged capabilities. This weapon was clearly built for a Hunter who values power, versatility, and close-range dominance.
Other Gear:
Rock shard: He often carries this to keep in mind where he came from aswell as to hone his aura abilities on it although subtlely.

Ammo pouch: Tucked in his cloak he carries a ammopouch made from a sturdy leather branded with his emblem.
Fighting Style:
Fighting Style: Fluidity of Earth and Steel

John Fire Heart's fighting style with Earthshaker is an elegant yet brutal combination of fluid movement and devastating power, perfectly complementing the weapon’s hybrid nature. His style draws on both his natural strength as a Bear Faunus and his semblance, Tectonic Shift, making him a force of nature in battle.

1. Adaptive Range Combat (Shotgun Form):
When in its pump-action shotgun form, John uses Earthshaker to dominate mid-to-close-range combat. His fighting style at this distance focuses on calculated bursts of overwhelming power. Instead of rapid firing, John paces his shots to control the battlefield, taking aim at key targets while conserving ammo.

Blast and Maneuver: John fires devastating point-blank shots and immediately sidesteps or rolls to reposition, always keeping his enemies off balance. He uses his semblance to create small tremors beneath his feet, making it harder for enemies to regain composure after being hit.
Close-Range Tactics: In close quarters, John can fire a spread shot to force enemies back, using the wide blast to hit multiple foes at once. The weapon's spread fire gives him control over crowds, and he uses it in combination with sharp movements to strike at weak points.
Aura Infusion: John can channel his crimson aura into the shotgun, increasing the destructive force of his shots. His aura-infused blasts leave small tremors in their wake, symbolizing his connection to the earth.
2. Seamless Transition into Glaive (Mid-Combat Shifts):
One of the hallmarks of John's style is his ability to fluidly switch between the shotgun and glaive forms mid-battle. He does this with such speed and grace that the shift often catches opponents off guard.

Close-Combat Pivot: When enemies close the distance, John quickly shifts Earthshaker into its glaive form with a flick of his wrist, the blade unfolding in a blur of steel. His initial strike is often a wide, sweeping arc, designed to knock opponents off balance or cleave through multiple foes.
Shotgun Follow-Through: Even in glaive form, the weapon retains its ability to fire. John will launch an attack with the glaive, then use the built-in shotgun to blast foes at point-blank range. The inaccuracy of the shot in this form is made up for by the spread, making it perfect for close-range engagements where precision isn’t necessary.
Earth Manipulation: With a combination of slashes and shotgun blasts, John can destabilize the terrain under his enemies, causing fissures or tremors to further disorient them. A common tactic is to sweep the glaive across the ground, sending a shockwave or creating unstable terrain.
3. Brutal Melee Mastery (Glaive Form):
When fully in glaive mode, John becomes a deadly whirlwind of power. His strikes are fast and devastating, often using the weight of the blade to deliver crushing blows. His fighting style here is based on overwhelming force mixed with strategic use of momentum and precision.

Heavy Strikes with Momentum: John uses the weight and balance of the glaive to his advantage. His attacks are calculated, making full use of wide arcs and heavy strikes. He often follows through with a spin or a step to the side, allowing him to keep moving and stay unpredictable.
Sweep and Smash: One of his signature moves is a sweeping attack with the glaive, immediately followed by slamming the butt of the weapon into the ground to activate Tectonic Shift. The resulting tremor knocks foes off their feet, leaving them vulnerable for a follow-up strike.
Earth-Fueled Glaive Attacks: John infuses the glaive with his semblance, creating shockwaves or causing the earth beneath his enemies to crack. This ability allows him to turn even a missed swing into an offensive move, as the ground destabilizes with every strike.
4. Strategic Battlefield Control:
John’s fighting style heavily focuses on controlling the flow of battle. With Earthshaker, he’s not just a single combatant—he’s an environmental force. He uses his semblance and weapon in conjunction to shape the battlefield to his advantage.

Area Denial: Using the shotgun's wide spread fire in combination with his Tectonic Shift ability, John can force enemies into unfavorable positions. By creating fissures or tremors, he directs opponents toward chokepoints or away from advantageous terrain.
Zone Control: The glaive’s long reach gives John excellent control over his immediate surroundings. By creating small quakes with each strike, he can make it difficult for enemies to approach, effectively zoning them out.
5. Finisher Techniques:
John’s fighting style builds toward powerful finishing moves. He strategically weakens and destabilizes opponents, leading to decisive strikes that end confrontations swiftly.

Seismic Slam Finisher: After wearing down his enemies, John finishes them with a combination of glaive strikes and a final shotgun blast. As he slams the blade into the ground, he channels a massive amount of aura into a seismic tremor, destabilizing the ground beneath his enemies, leaving them open for a finishing blow.
Riposte into Shotgun Burst: John parries an attack with the glaive, using the momentum to pivot and deliver a point-blank shotgun blast, ending the fight in a single explosive strike.
Strengths:
He stands tall for the ones around him, throwing himself into the fight. He is one of the fisrt to stand against those who wish to cause harm just for the sake of chaos or greed.

Socially he is only upfont with those he has been working with for a while.

When in combat he is rather open with how he communicated rather then his enclosed self when outside of combat.

He is phyically strong and has decently sharp claws from his bear like traits.
Weaknesses:
He is awkward to talk to during social gatherings. He is quick to rage when those he cares for are injured by the grimm, often leading him to charge into fights when it is unopertune for his team.

He tends to drink alot whenever he has recently dealt with the Grimm or criminals. He does this to "ease his nerves"
