Physical Description:
Serenity is a small creature, standing at a hair over 4 feet and 7 inches and weighing 90 pounds. Her face is round and framed by medium length midnight blue hair that is streaked with pink, contrasting her startlingly large, orange eyes. Her lightly tanned skin has many splotches of color, typically a green color. These splotches typically change colors to reflect how Sera is feeling. The most noticeable feature besides her bright eyes is the long tail that she supports. Many would joke that it is half of her weight. While not very thick, it is extraordinarily long, being almost two times longer than Sera is tall, it is strong enough to allow her to hang from it. The entirety of her tail is green, but also alters color with her skin. There is a ridge of purplish spines that run along the top of her tail. When in social settings, Sera keeps her tail curled behind her to keep it out of others' ways.

Outfit Description:
Serenity can often be found wearing a tank top and a skirt that are a shade darker than her eyes. She wears brown fitted shorts underneath her skirt to prevent embarrassing accidents when climbing or sunbathing. Her necklace has her emblem engraved in lapis that doubles as a locket. She typically does not like wearing shoes, and can often be seen barefoot, but when going into heavy traffic areas, she wears black socks with bronze stripes and dark brown boots with a gold flare at her lower calves.
Personality Description:
Serenity puts on a persona of a very outspoken person, but keeps a lot to herself- she is very reserved and prefers to keep conversation topics away from herself. Meaning she will chat and be friendly with just about anyone but as a general rule keeps any personal information close to her, shared only with those she trusts the most. As a general rule, people feel more comfortable around Sera because she has a calm disposition and isn’t nosey. Her demeanor is cheerful but mature and always provides a sympathetic ear who turns no one away, listening and gathering all sorts of gossip which she files away in her memory and typically doesn’t share.

She is a dedicated and hardworking young woman, and once her mind is set on something she will finish it, regardless of how long it takes. Her drive and willingness to complete tasks also makes Serenity seem a little goody-goody to those who haven't spoken to her. While being an overachiever is not necessarily a bad thing, she doesn't know when to let up a bit and oftentimes will work herself to exhaustion because Sera believes she has to finish first. If she loses the opportunity to do it first, then she tries to do it the very best. Not a perfectionist per say, but in regards to herself, she does have a picky streak a mile wide.

Serenity is a person who is very slow to anger. Insults roll off her back like water and threats are cataloged and assessed. She never takes anything said about her to heart, and will not retaliate unless it becomes a physical confrontation- to her words mean nothing. This disregard of spoken language is a double edged sword, however. While she has more or less learned how to seem normal… normal, for lack of a better word, she offers apologies and gratitude at the correct times, but around those who know her well, she typically doesn’t continue the practice. She expresses herself in hugs, smiles, and overall actions. She may be the friendliest, most talkative gal in a crowded area, but left alone with those who are considered friends, she only engages in conversation if spoken to or if a subject that interests her is mentioned.
Backstory Highlights:
Serenity was born in Vacuo, and was raised there for the better part of her life. Her parents were not her birth parents, she was adopted. Supposedly, her birth parents were Hunters and had chosen their jobs over raising a child. Once Serenity got older, she held no grudge though, Serenity could understand the decision the woman made at the time.

From the moment she was old enough to start making plans for the future, she wanted to become a huntress, to be a protector of the people and possibly get to meet her birth parents. It was a noble goal- one that never lost motivation. Before Serenity was 10 she ran around wielding her mother's kitchen utensils and "defeating" the family pets. Her determination only grew with time. As soon as she was able, shortly before her 13th birthday, her parents allowed her to enroll in Oscuro Academy to begin pursuing her dream of being a Huntress. Her dedication to learning aura control and skill with her chosen weapon more than compensated for her lack of natural talent.

In the days following the discovery of her Semblance, she began to dabble in medicines, working on learning how plant based substances affect people and Grimm, along side her normal class work, which may have contributed to her poor performance in classes. The first two years of her schooling, she struggled to keep up with the classes and almost got dropped once for how long it took her to achieve aura control. Sheer determination brought her up to par and into second best in her class for the rest of her training.

Upon the eventual discovery of a potent poison shortly before her graduation, Sera always keeps a few vials on her person, along with an antidote which she keeps in her necklace. Two days before her graduation, she had applied to Shade Academy to complete her training. Unfortunately, it was not in the cards for Sera. Her parents had went outside the walls, joining their relatives who remained with a nomadic tribe and a surprise visit by Grimm killed most of the tribe, including her mother and put her father in the hospital in critical condition. She graduated Oscuro with a heavy heart and sat beside her father as his life faded away as well.

Sera could not stay in Vacuo- she was antsy and ready to fight, to protect people like her parents, to follow in the footsteps of her biological parents. But she couldn't do it here, with everyone who knew her walking on eggshells, afraid she would break. She needed a fresh start, somewhere not cold like Atlas or swampy like Minstral. She sent her application to Beacon in Vale and began the journey there without being granted acceptance. She was moving to a new place with new Hunter and Huntresses in training regardless. By some show of fortune, she did get accepted into Beacon, and from there her dedication to the cause only grew stronger.

Semblance Name:
Once Bitten - Twice the Pain
Semblance Description:
Serenity's Semblance allows her to echo any physical affliction placed upon another being.

In the realm of combat, this is exceptionally convenient. With as small as she is, standing and fighting a battle of strength could end in her death, with her Semblance, she just has to dart in and injure her opponent, and trigger her Semblance. Once active, it begins to reapply the damage she inflicted, the amount of damage inflicted lessening over time. The more damage an injury creates, the more aura channels through her Semblance. Like with most Semblances, Dust can be implemented, making the damage inflicted Elemental instead of purely physical. In the event that Sera uses her poisons, her Semblance will echo both the poison and the injury inflicted.

For a more utility purpose, Serenity can utilize her Semblance to because a menace. The ability to reapply her interactions to a being allow her to be a Supreme prankster. Her Semblance doesn't not need to be triggered immediately after she makes contact, so long as the person is not going to be touched by another person before she triggers it. She is able to create the situation to echo, then as long as the target has not physically interacted with anyone else, she can trigger the echo. The longer she waits before triggering it, the more potency it looses, becoming more and more faint.

The sustained draw on her aura also increases with distance, the farther away she is from her target, the more it takes to channel it. In a fight it's typically not that big of a deal, she's engaging with an opponent, not trying to run away. However, when trying to be sly and harass some poor unsuspecting person, it's usually best to not be present and therefore not get blamed… the optimal range of Once Bitten - Twice the Pain is about 12 yards.

Serenity's weapons have three forms, two melee and one medium ranged weapon. The primary form of her weapons are war fans, or bladed fans.

Perilous is her dominant hand weapon, is a teal/green with 6 straight blades the stick out about an inch from the fan blade itself. At its longest point, the fan is 9.5 inches and when spread, side to side is almost 14 inches. When collapsed, the weapon is about 2 inches wide and is kept holsters on her right hip in a well taken care of leather holster. In its collapsed form, it can be thrown or wielded as a dagger. Perilous' third and final variation is when extra slicing power is necessary- the blades collapse on themselves and a handle is formed, allowing a single blade to extend around her hand from wrist to wrist to be used in extra-close-quarters combat or when deliberately trying to slice something such as rope.

Tempo, as with her sister weapon is a greenish blue, just a shade darker than Perilous and also contains 6 blades bracing the fan and has the same length/width ratio of Perilous. The blades on Tempo are angled and curved, unlike the other. When collapsed it is sheathed on her left hip in a holster almost identical to the other. It is not intended to be thrown, but used as a melee fighting dagger if Sera is found in a position to need one. Tempo's third form is a circular blade like Perilous, but has a secondary handle that can also be used as a wrist support.

Both weapons have a small area to insert vials of either Dust or poison. These resources can be activated as she is fighting to give her a leg up on her foes.
Other Gear:
The necklace bearing her emblem, it doubles as a locket and is where she stores the antidotes to her poisons.

A small pouch on her left hip, behind Tempo's sheath, used to store vials of dust and poison.

Poisons: Sera uses two poisons developed over the course of her time at Oscuro Academy; one is a fast acting toxin that targets pain receptors and makes any injury feel more server. The other targets sight and can cause muscle cramps, though it is not permanent and doesn't last long. Neither are deadly, but they give an edge with Serenity's Semblance.
Fighting Style:
Serenity relies strongly on her speed and small stature to remain mobile, and using her Semblance and poison to deal the majority of the damage. Her weapons afford her the opportunity to utilize her Semblance, being close range. Her blades will do marginal damage against a large beast, but so long as she can move faster, her Semblance will wear it down to her eventual victory. She is very close-range with no variation, having only one weapon she could throw but, in doing so will have lost a weapon. In a team fight, she will let her team or partner engage before sweeping in and slicing, her Semblance supplementing the damage she inflicts.
Strengths:
Persistent, always finishing a task set before her, regardless of how long it takes her. She doesn't let it drop.

Hyperthymesia, she remembers everything that happens in her life and is able to recall moments vividly on command.
Weaknesses:
Works herself too much. She often skips several hours of sleep a night if she decides she is behind a deadline she self-assigns.

She is small and because of that, large foes are a greater danger. Blows that could just knock others over have the potential to crush her completely, as small framed as she is.

Her resistance to threats can often land her in a heap of trouble, Sera often finds herself on the dab side of Bullies, typically a group of them, who don't take kindly to being ignored.
